Active Server Pages (ASP)
Microsoft Active Server Page (ASP) is a server-side scripting technology that can be used to create dynamic and interactive web applications. An ASP page is an HTML page that contains server-side scripts that are processed by a web server before being sent to the user's browser. You can combine ASP with Extensible Markup Language (XML) and Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) to create powerful interactive websites.

 

ASP is a feature of the Microsoft Internet Information Server. Since the server-side script is building a regular HTML page, it can be served to almost any browser. An ASP file can be created by including a script written in VBScript or JScript in an HTML file.

 

Access to Log Files
Log files are stats that keep track of what pages and areas of your site that users are visiting. Using Web Stats and the Log Manager, you can download, view, manage and delete your log files.

 

Ad Server
An ad server allows you to place rotating banner advertisements on your website, manage your advertising clients, and to collect statistics on banner views and click throughs.

CGI-BIN
This is an interface standard, which provides a method of executing a server-side program (script) from a website to generate a web page with dynamic content. Scripts conforming to this standard may be written in any programming language that produces an executable file, but are most often written in Perl, Python, C, C++, or TCL.

 

CGI Form Mail
The Form Mail script is a universal form to an email gateway. Use this script if you want to have a form's contents emailed to you, but are not sure how to write the code for it.

 

CGI Plug-in Scripts
This is a feature for our customers who want to use pre-written CGI scripts such as Form Mail or Text Counter. Plug-in scripts will be continuously added to the system.

ColdFusion is a complete web application server for developing and delivering scalable e-business applications.

 

Database Manager
The Database Manager is a web-based MySQL client that allows users to create and manipulate a maximum of two MySQL databases.

 

The Database Manager is designed for advanced users and knowledge of relational databases and SQL is required in order to use it efficiently. It is best used for creating databases and tables: For populating a database, you should consider using a script (PHP, ColdFusion) or CGI.

 

The Database Manager builds statements from the various options that you select. This is the reason for the Build SQL Query button. Viewing the query provides an opportunity to review the query before running it. Clicking the Run SQL Query button submits the query to the SQL server.

 

Data Transfer
Data transfer is the amount of data that is accessed by visitors to your site. An average web page is 15 KB to 20 KB in file size. The number of pages and the number of visitors you plan to have to your site will regulate how much data is transferred.

 

Disk Usage Meter
Disk Usage reports the disk space usage of your website. It provides a listing of each directory and the amount of space used. The report is in plain text and can be cut and pasted for printing.

 

DNS Manager

DNS Manager allows the end-user to edit their domain’s zone file, including A (address) records, CNAME (canonical name) records and MX (mail exchange) records.

 

Blog Builder

A blog (also referred to as a web log) can be used in a variety of ways; however, it is largely used as a medium for posting stories or journal entries online. People who read blog entries can also make comments on the posts a user or (other users you set up) have made.

 

EasyLiveChat

This function allows you to redirect improperly addressed email sent to your domain to a catch-all email address. An improperly addressed email is defined as an email message sent to your domain to an undefined email account.

EasyMail Spam Filtering

The spam filtering function of EasyMail allows you to prevent unsolicited email (spam) from reaching your mailbox. By enabling spam filtering for an account, all email that enters your inbox is evaluated and assigned a point value by an automated filter, based on the message headers and each email's content. If the point total is over a certain value, then the email is categorized as spam. The subject, message formatting, and message headers are all examined for "spam-like" features.

File Manager
File Manager allows you to take full control of your website files. It is a safe alternative to a full shell access for sophisticated users. You can copy, move, delete, rename and edit files, create and remove directories, change file permissions and upload files from your local computer to the server. File Manager is best used to manipulate files that have been previously uploaded to your website. To upload more than one file at a time, an FTP client is generally more efficient.

 

File Restore

File Restore allows the end user to restore their website’s content from a series of time-based periods (one hour, one day, etc.).

 

File Transfer Protocol (FTP)
FTP is an Internet standard for transferring files over the Internet. FTP programs and utilities are used to upload and download web pages, graphics, and other files from your hard drive to a remote server, which allows FTP access. The FTP Manager is a function that allows the end user to control access to Directory Specific FTP and Anonymous FTP.

 

FormMail

Automatically sends information completed within a form via email to the email address specified by the end user.

 

FrontPage 2002 Extensions
Server extensions allow your site to use Microsoft FrontPage specific components like form submission and shared borders.

 

Hit Counter
Counts and records hits made to your site. Any request made to the server which is logged is considered a hit. The requests can be for any resource: HTML pages, graphic images, audio files, CGI scripts, etc. Each valid line in the server log is counted as a hit. This number represents the total number of requests that were made to the server during the specified report period.

 

IMAP

A method of accessing email messages on a server without having to download them to a local hard drive.

 

JSP

Java Server Page (JSP) is a technology for controlling the content or appearance of web pages through the use of servlets, small programs that are specified in the web page and run on the web server to modify the web page before it is sent to the user who requested it.

 

Log File Management Tool
The Log Manager allows you to obtain raw server logs about your site activity and traffic. You can view and/or delete, print, download, and date your log files. You may disable logging altogether to conserve your disk space.

 

Your server logs can also be downloaded for use with other statistics packages. You can use the Web Stats function to analyze and view your log files in an easy-to-read, graphical display. While Log Manager allows you to manage your log files and view them in their raw state, Web Stats makes them human readable.

 

MS ACCESS Database
Microsoft Access (usually abbreviated as MS Access) is an easy-to-use program for creating and maintaining databases. The Access database driver for online databases is often supported by web hosts using the NT hosting platform.

 

MS-SQL
MS-SQL (Microsoft SQL) Extensive database programming capabilities built on web standards. Rich XML and Internet standard support give you the ability to store and retrieve data in XML format easily with built-in stored procedures. You can also use XML updategrams to insert, update, and delete data easily.

 

MySQL Database

PERL

Practical Extraction and Reporting Language is a programming language often used for creating CGI programs.

 

PHP
PHP is a server-side scripting language. The PHP commands, which are embedded in the web page's HTML, are executed on the web server to generate dynamic HTML pages.

 

POP3

POP3 requires users to download messages to their hard drive before reading them.

 

Real Audio and Video
Real Audio and Video is a client-server software system and file format(s) by Real Networks that allows Internet users to play audio and/or video-based multimedia content in real time as they are being downloaded (called "streaming media"), instead of the user having to download the complete file before being able to play it.

 

Secure Server SSL Manager
SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is a transaction security standard that provides data encryption, server authentication, and message integrity.
